Moelfryn Mawr is a private stud farm on the edge of Bethania in the Llanon region of Ceredigion Wales and it is a painting showing one of my daily views when I walk my dog for his early morning ablutions. Cross Inn and Penuwch are two villages nearby at three and two miles distance respectively.

The farm is situated within a hilly area some five miles from the West Wales coast and is about 950 feet up from sea level. As a result it gets quite windy up here regardless of the season. The winds usually come up the valley from the sea between Llanon and Aberaeron.

My painting shows a view at the top end of the valley.

In the foreground of my Moelfryn Mawr landscape painting you can see a couple of small bushy trees on the left as well as a small pond in the centre with reeds and more green bushes on its far side.
