My Celtic sunset painting was created on private farm land overlooking the Preseli hills near Cardigan. A sea mist was coming inland and the sunset light had diffused into it creating an overall balmy effect. I used ink and watercolour on bluish grey coloured paper to produce it. The sea coast was just a few miles to the West.
The painting shows a Welsh countryside scene of silhouetted trees and distant hills bathed, in seemingly, a spiritual light at dusk on a Winter's day. The bulk of it was painted rapidly in one sitting although I was standing up at the time. It was an on the spur of the moment painting.

As I got to the edge of the fields shown the sea mist started to roll in and which was quickly followed by the natural orange coloured sunset lighting effects.
